For Valentine’s Day (February 14th) you need to
start thinking ahead about what to give the one you love.
Sending flowers on Valentine’s Day is the tradition, but
there are so many other unexpected options to surprise your loved-one with.
- Cookie Bouquet: These creative and unique bouquets, made with decorated
cookies, are a perfect Valentine’s Day treat.
If your
sweetheart is on a sugar-restricted diet, there's a (sugar-free version ) as
well.
- Chocolate Gram: To melt that special someone’s heart, there's
nothing like opening a box of chocolates with a message
spelled out in Belgian chocolate. (“Free for dinner?...Be mine!...Will you marry
me?...)
-
Chocolate Truffles: Truffles are usually sinfully delicious, but these
are not:
Gayle's Miracles truffles. They have 80 percent fewer calories and less fat than other
brands, but they are no less tasty. Perhaps that's why Gayle calls them
"miracles." At $15 for a 16-piece box, they're a total steal!
Romantic Fortune Cookies: Treat someone to fortune cookies dipped in chocolate and containing
your secret messages. These come in a
take-out box wrapped in a bow and ready to predict the future.
- Chocolate-covered strawberries:
Splurging on these dreamy strawberries will send the message that
romance is in the air. If you'd like to save some pennies, you can
easily make them yourself. Pop a bottle of champagne and dessert is all set.
Brownies: Don't have time to bake? Yummy Mummy’s popular brownies
start with a fudgy foundation; then they're made even richer and more delicious
with the addition of decadent chocolate chip morsels. Simply scrumptious!
- Cheesecake: This cheesecake has gotten the thumbs up from
may celebrities and I can see why! There
are 26 different flavors to choose from including Key Lime, Raspberry Swirl, Mint
Chocolate and Chip Bailey's Irish Cream.
- Lollipops: Lollipop, lollipop, ooh lolli, lollipop! (That’s me singing
the old song.) Flavors include butterscotch swirl, peppermint and some unusual
fruit varieties. Sugar-free and fat-free pops are also available.
- Caramel Apples:
If you think these are only for Halloween, you're missing out. Mrs.
Prindable's handmade confections offer a Valentine's collection of
caramel apples that are smothered in chocolates, nuts, caramel and
other goodies.
Happy Valentine's Day!

I received the valentine email today and I can now open all the blue words again. Thanks for fixing the problem. Chris
